UPCOMING EXHIBITS
JUNE
Mark Witzling, Oil
**Artist Reception June 14th from 5:30 - 7:30**
Mark works in both representation and abstract styles, primarily with oils. His abstract work uses an oil and cold wax technique which avoids the use of heat typically found in encaustic painting. He has studied with art teachers and been involved in workshops, but is not formally trained. His works had been for display in juried shows at locations including the St. Louis Artists Guild and at the Tavern of Fine Arts in St. Louis.
JULY
Sam Abatgis, Digital
Sam meticulously combines digital effects to create artistic impressions that have an organic quality. Occasionally, he manipulates the image to look like something recognizable, but more often than not he lets the image guides itself into the shape it’s destined to become. A painter’s interpretation of the process could be: nature is the canvas, effects become the brushes and the varying degrees of sunlight are the paint. Passionately devoted, Sam can be driven to work up to 50 hours on a single image and is always looking forward to creating the next one.
AUGUST
Rich Brock, Photography
Local artist Rich Brock captures the atmosphere and history of Historic Saint Charles, Missouri in his photographs.
